Student Success Statement Japanese Proverb

Student Success Statement
"Vision without action is a daydream. Action without vision is a nightmare."
Japanese Proverb

Reflection:
If you have a vision about what you want to be, go and do it. Don't just let it be a daydream or just a thought. If your doing it the other way around, if you are doing action like going to school just doing it with no goals or not going to go anywhere with it.

Glenn Cunningham

Glenn Cunningham
His story is really inspiring. All the hard work he put in to be a professional runner after his legs being burnt. This shows us you can do anything in life you just got to believe it and work for it. Glenn might of have to work a bit harder than others but he still did it. Broke lots of records, one of the greatest american athletes ever. What I have learned from this is not everything is not going to go your way and bad things might happen. But you have to stay strong and keep you chin up and keep moving forward and get where you want to be.

Student Success Statement Earl Nightingale

"We become what we think about."
Earl Nightingale

Reflection: I somewhat disagree with this statement because I feel like you can think about so many things and won't make it or do it or have it. For example, a lot of kids would love to be the best player in the world, Im pretty sure every kid that wants to be a pro dreams that they want to be the best. But the sad thing is not everyone can not. Also in the same time I agree. If the boy/girl dream is to be the best in the world you need steps to get up there. You will need hard work and dedication if you would like to be the best in the world.

Student Success Statement Dean Smith

"I wasn't trying to leave a legacy. I was trying to do what was right."
Dean Smith

Reflection: I really like this quote everyone should try to do whats right. The world would be amazing if more people would be like Dean Smith. This really inspired me because I am a athlete to and want a scholarship to a college and I would really love a coach like Dean Smith. He has what every athlete would like a coach would have. He seems like an amazing person and he is really a legend.

Aristole

REFLECTION: I agree, educating the brain is one thing but educating your heart is an other. You really need to take everything your learning and keep it with you. Its really important to keep all you learned because your going to need that in life.

Student Success Statement Mr. Haymore

"CTR connects you to happiness and success-CTW disconnects"
Mr. Haymore

Reflection: I agree with this statement you could possibly be happy and successful by CTR and most of the time you would not be successful by CTW. But not all the time you will be successful and happy by CTR, you never know what can happen. I still somewhat agree with this statement.

Student Success Statement Carol Burnett

"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me."
Carol Burnett

Reflection: This is true nobody can change your own life. You make your own decisions in your life nobody else. People can get involved in your life but not change it. For example, when people say he/she changed my life, I don't so, they might of got involved in it but you made the decision to go to him/her. Nobody is ever going to change your life.
